EE caters to remote workers with new 5G business plans
Mobile operator EE is catering for a new world of remote working with a range of refreshed 5G-ready business plans for small enterprises that aim to blur the lines between “work and play”.
EE said that there will be three new tiers called ‘Business Essential’, ‘Business Extra’ and ‘Business Unlimited’, all powered by the fastest 5G speeds and offering different data experiences and benefits to suit user requirements.
Customers who opt for a business handset alongside one of these plans will also be able to get a free next-day replacement without charge and the peace of mind of a lifetime guarantee.
EE’s managing director of SME Pete Oliver said that the new plans reflect new habits and behaviours that have accelerated this year with stay-at-home working policies.
He added: “That’s why we’re offering 5G ready and new tech specific plans to empower customers to keep on top of their workload and stay entertained during downtime, whether that’s in the home or on the move.”
Users signing up to either the Business Extra or Business Unlimited plans will be able to take advantage of ‘Smart Benefits’ such as a subscription to Apple Music, Amazon Prime Video or BT Sport Ultimate.
The top-tier plan will offer true unlimited 5G data, but the more affordable capped data offering will now include ‘Reserve Day’, a new service that will keep users connected even if their data allowance has been exceeded.
In addition to access to ultrafast mobile data, all three plans will include EU roaming free of charge and unlimited texts and minutes.
